Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still better than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is broad.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is offered for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not make it safe. But factor into how you think about it.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
