TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your decision.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
